I would like to propose, to provide similar function of command line
operation line im-switch, this will ease the implementation of graphic
configuration tools that intended to be more integrated to the whole
desktop environment, for example language-selector.
language-selector calls im-switch directly to set user preference, for example:
im-switch -z ${locale} -s ${input_method}
But this is impossible to be easily achieved with current
implementation of im-config, people need to re-implement many
functions of im-config in their own program to behave like im-config.
Actually this is flawing the original design of using im-config.
Is it possible to provide similar command line options? It would be
best if the options are compatible with im-switch, so users who use
the command directly can work with it even quickly.
