Package: libbluray Version: 1:0.2.1+git20111208.63e308d-1 Severity: normal Trying to build xine-lib-1.2 in a clean chroot wiht Recommends turned off results in a lot of java packages being included as build-dependencies. This doesn't make a lot of sense.
The problem comes down to libbluray-dev which depends on libbluray-bdj. Please review whether this strong dependency is mandatory for *all* packages which may need to build-depend on libbluray-dev. It adds considerably to the amount of work required to build reverse dependencies. If some packages need libbluray-bdj at *build time*, maybe those specific packages should build-depend on the bdj library *if* they use the Java symbols. -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-1-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_GB.utf8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) (ignored: LC_ALL set to en_GB.UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
