I'll keep eye on there and update my patch once dpkg is updated.
I also just realized: If we do actually use dpkg-maintscript-helper for
this, that means any package using it will need to to Pre-Depend on the
dpkg version introducing this new feature (like documented in the
dpkg-maintscript-helper manpage). We'll have to mention this fact in the
dh_installdocs manpage as well.
I guess a package would also need to Build-Depend on the version of
debhelper introducing the --upgrade-link-doc flag, so that version
number should probably be listed in the manpage as well?
