* What led up to the situation?
I was watching a movie online, using VLC media player and it just
stopped playing. I lost my internet connectivity, so I checked with my mobile
phone and figured the internet connection is just fine. The debian was
completely cut off of the internet. Ping couldn't resolve any host, ifconfig
reported nothing unusual, /etc/init.d/networking restart didn't help, so I
checked in /var/log/messages and found this:

* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)?
I described above. After that, I restarted my home router and then I
was able to ping it and log into it over the web interface, but nothing after
the router could be accessed, until the reboot.
* What was the outcome of this action?
I had to reboot the situation, because there was no other way to make
my machine connect to the internet again.
* What outcome did you expect instead?
The internet to work :)
