I just tested reporter's kdenlive render script and mlt-xml file
against manually built mlt and manually built ffmpeg-0.8 from release
tarball. It revealed a couple of segfault-inducing bugs in mlt git
head that I just fixed. However, I did not reproduce the problem with
color.

Patrick, the mlt_bug.png you attached shows the problem. I am not sure
what you were intending to show with that screencapture because it is
from report's output and not your own.

Vincent, the MLT and KDE bugs you reference is unrelated even though
the symptom is very similar. Pixel component swapping is a common bug
in video software, but that bug report is about gstreamer, which is
completely unrelated to MLT. I know you are trying to help, I'm just
clarifying that.

It sure would be nice if just one other person can test that
combination of mlt and ffmpeg package versions. Not at all convenient
for me to do that.
