An according change to default to /dev/lirc0 in the absence of explicit
device configuration has been added to svn in r486[1], as part of a
larger initscript overhaul. It will be uploaded to unstable relatively
soon due to a pending RC bug in the same area of code (which will
require further revamping of the initscript and the conffiles used by
it).
