There haven't been any new release of slash for years. Current version 
is the one packaged in stable/testing/unstable (2.2.6-7). See

You should check before making such assumptions...

Now the version in CVS is newer, but was never released. For the bug 
to be fixed, a new slash-cvs package should be built and uploaded to 
the archive. That wouldn't close #160579 though
