Package: xdg-utils
Version: 1.1.0~rc1+git20111210-5
Severity: wishlist

Somehow, my PDF viewer preferences were messed up. Not a big deal. I'll
just override it with xdg-mime... But I gave it an absolute path to the
desktop file. That didn't work, and strace showed it trying to open
/usr/share//applications/(absolute path I provided). The existing double-
slash is sloppy, but taking an absolute path and treating it as relative
is a bad idea.

If upstream doesn't want absolute paths, they should error out rather than
accepting them and causing confusion.
