a2ps does not use my locale setting.
a2ps --help output is entirely english and escape sequence '$P'
results
in 'Page' not
'Seite'.
On openSuSE strace shows a line
open("/usr/share/locale/de/LC_MESSAGES/a2ps.mo", O_RDONLY) = 3
but not on Debian
