Hi, I've had problems with audio chat. Pidgin complained in the chat window: "Error with your microphone". (It could really be a bit more specific.) After some trial and error I found out that audio chat works if either pulseaudio or oss-compat is installed. But neither of these is a Depends or Recommends.
