If I were you, I will rearrange like....
Debian system management basics:
(1) keep it simple, stupid (KISS),
(2) have good back-up plan,
- back up your data to external media (write-once preferred),
- have access to backup bootable media (live-CD),
(3) don't be stupid,
- don't be root when you don't have to be (use sudo),
- don't type anything you don't understand,
- don't screw with the permissions,
- don't screw with the package management,
- don't install file from untrusted source,
- don't open network ports carelessly,
- don't give unlimited access to untrusted users,
(4) use already available information before asking,
- read the fine manual (manpage, info, HOWTOs, ...),
- read your log files (the FIRST error is the one that counts),
- read search engine results,
(5) ask good questions at the right place politely,
(6) don't leave your root shell until you TEST your changes,
Actually, as long as you have bootable media (alternative partition,
live-cd, usb-key, ...), you do not care much about root shell described
in (6).
You as a native English user should be the one who gives me polished
lessons.

PS: This is wishlist bug, though.
