Hi, If unrar-free --list outputs with Ver 2.9, that means it is RAR 3.0 algorithm and is not supported by unrar-free. And it is http://bugs.debian.org/312552 unrar-free only decompress those RARs created by DOS-version rar.exe. WinRAR are using RAR 3.0 (Ver 2.9 algorithm) so it is not supported by unrar-free.
For Ver 2.9 please use "unar" which is already in Debian.
