Package: emacs-goodies-el
Version: 35.2
Severity: normal
File: /usr/share/emacs/site-lisp/emacs-goodies-el/eproject.el
Starting from "emacs -q",
M-: (require 'eproject)
M-x locate /tmp
=>
error "Buffer '*Locate*' has no file name"
where I expected that eproject would not affect an M-x locate listing.
I suppose it's because locate-mode is a derivative of dired-mode which
may need some special handling bits in eproject.
But either way I expect the "maybe" of eproject-maybe-turn-on should
mean it ought to do nothing if it finds nothing it can turn on.
Perhaps `eproject--buffer-file-name' could use derived-mode-p to detect
dired derivatives for its dired special case, which might be good for
any other dired derived things. (derived-mode-p is in emacs22 and
xemacs21, but not emacs21.)
