Package: libsvga1 Version: 1:1.4.3-29 I have completely replaced the Debian installation on my computer to switch from lenny to squeeze and from i386 to AMD64 at the same time. The information at the top and the bottom of this message shows the versions running on this new installation. In this new installation, Ctrl+Alt+F[1-6] do result in a working console. So the problem for which this bug report was submitted now is fixed.
I still have to find how to change the screen resolution and the font size of these consoles ... -- System Information: Debian Release: 6.0.3 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.utf8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages libsvga1 depends on: ii libc6 2.11.2-10 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii libx86-1 1.1+ds1-6 x86 real-mode library libsvga1 recommends no packages. libsvga1 suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
