Dear Maintainer, when I tried to configure ramond, I created a
directory for config files and scripts (/etc/ramond/).
To use the config file /etc/ramond/ramonf.config, I changed the value
of RAMONDCONFIG in /etc/default/ramond according to the documentation
there.

But when I tried to start ramond, I didn't got any errors on the
command line (used services and invoke-rc.d), except that status told
me that ramond wasn't running:

$ sudo service ramond status
ramond is not running ... failed!
$

and this message in /var/log/syslog:

   Dec 12 14:55:33 my-computer ramond: Syntax error in configuration file

When making a symbolic link from /etc/ramond/ramond.conf to
/etc/ramond.conf, ramond started to work.

When I look into /etc/init.d/ramond, I can't see that the script set
DAEMON_ARGS to "-c $RAMONDCONF", which would have solved this problem.

Hope this information is enough to fix this error when configure ramond.

Yours
Anders Jackson
