The keyboard layout selector of gnome-control-center does not display the full name of keyboard layouts which contains more than one element, for example, all "Language - Eliminate dead keys" layouts are instead named only "Eliminate Dead Keys", thus making it very hard to find the correct one. One can figure out the correct choice since they still seem to be sorted by the (hidden) language name, and it is also possible to simply check the preview of each one.
