OK, the -f or --force appear to be working here but that's because I haven't gotten a new version uploaded into Debian for a while (you have version 0.5.8 and I'm on 0.6.2). I've uploaded a new version with dput and requested help to upload it through reportbug. So hopefully this will take care of the first issue.
I'm looking into adding -vv, etc for the various verbosity levels. Hopefully that will follow soon. Thanks for the report and I'm sorry I didn't keep it up to date.
