Package: evince Version: 3.2.1-1 Severity: important Evince was working just fine but now ignores virtually all input from mouse or trackpad. Mostly, it just ignores both clicks and scrolling etc. Occasionally, it recognises something and the document either wobbles blurrily or randomly scrolls by about a page (even if you were trying to use a menu, for example).
This makes it impossible to scroll through a document, highlight or select text, or change the preferences. If I try to change the toolbar preferences, for example, I can navigate the preference window only using the keyboard. So I can tab between selection, help and close and I can select close or help using return. But I cannot select an addition for the toolbar or drag things to or from the toolbar. I am not actually sure how I managed to open the preferences window because generally, I can't now use the menus at all as my clicks are ignored. Moreover, after being made partially transparent (presumably by the window manager), evince doesn't return to opacity even when it is once again the frontmost, active window. I *think* (but am not certain) that mouse rollovers on toolbar buttons used to show tooltips. If so, these have disappeared. (If not, I wish there were some but that would be a wishlist item not a regression!)
