Package: emacs23
Version: 23.3+1-4
Severity: normal
"emacs -nw" doesn't always initialize the terminal (at least
in an xterm), with the following observed effects:
* The alternate screen is not used.
* Some function keys do not work. For instance, I get for
[Home] and [End]:
M-[ h is undefined
M-[ f is undefined
because these incorrect escape sequences are sent instead
of M-O H and M-O F.
This problem occurred 3 times today and once earlier this week.
AFAIK, it never occurred before. So, this may be a regression in
the latest emacs23 packages.
