My GNU screen is started like this via cron:

@reboot /usr/bin/screen -wipe > /dev/null 2>&1 ; /usr/bin/screen -U -d -m

Then my GNU screen starts emacs-dameon this way:

screen    -t emacs 12 dash -c 'DISPLAY=":0.0" exec emacs --daemon'

But these errors happen under uxterm of my X Window System:

Waiting for Emacs...
*ERROR*: Display :0 can't be opened
juhtolv@juhtolv:/home/juhtolv %  echo $DISPLAY
:0
juhtolv@juhtolv:/home/juhtolv % xhost +localhost
localhost being added to access control list
juhtolv@juhtolv:/home/juhtolv % emacsclient -c  
Waiting for Emacs...
*ERROR*: Display :0 can't be opened
