The point is that the latest version of gnucash-docs recommends yelp, without depending on it. The rationale is that gnucash-docs is still usable without yelp, since the package also provides HTML and PDF documentation. So it means that you installed gnucash-docs without following the recommendation of installing yelp. My first reaction is therefore to say that you made a conscious decision about not installing yelp, and that this is not a bug. If you disagree with this view, I see only two solutions: - make gnucash-docs depend on yelp rather than just recommending it, though this is not my preferred way for the reasons exposed above; - modifying the error message along the lines that you suggested. This is probably my preferred option. Making gnucash depend on yelp is not an option, since gnucash-docs is only recommended. Making gnucash recommending yelp in addition to recommending gnucash-docs basically adds nothing, since gnucash-docs already recommends yelp.
