Thank you for your response, your input is greatly appreciated. I admit to not knowing much about the way font defaults are handled, and especially in non-English paths. I just saw that ttf-nanum was unmodified in ubuntu at this point, and that this might also affect the package on debian. Thanks for your input. Scott
