Hi! AES-NI is a set of instructions targeted at speeding up AES on modern processors. It is not yet available in OpenSSL 1.0.x branch. Ubuntu patches their version with AES-NI support and enables it by default. Performances are greatly improved by this support: http://zombe.es/post/4059999783/openssl-outmoded-asm You can find the patch here: http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-branches/ubuntu/oneiric/openssl/oneiric/view/head:/debian/patches/aesni.patch It is also available in OpenSSL RT tracker: http://rt.openssl.org/Ticket/Display.html?id=2065 http://rt.openssl.org/Ticket/Attachment/27708/13780/openssl-1.0.0-aesni-v3.patch Thanks! - -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (101, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.0.0-1-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=fr_FR.utf8, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages libssl1.0.0 depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.41 ii libc6 2.13-21 ii multiarch-support 2.13-21 ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3.4.dfsg-3 libssl1.0.0 recommends no packages. libssl1.0.0 suggests no packages. - -- debconf information: libssl1.0.0/restart-failed: libssl1.0.0/restart-services: -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.11 (GNU/Linux) iEYEARECAAYFAk6QfSYACgkQKFvXofIqeU4fnwCffv+a1jbeoGFBeWXedtI25JtE 20QAn1iPs9Rg8QH/HZcbNv0zfpxkpP6L =mIuh -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
