hi,
i've suffered from the same bug and spent the last three days resizing
the (physical GPT) partitions of my underlying raid6 devices and trying
to grow the array. i did disk-by-disk rebuilds in order to make mdadm
notice the new space, but it didn't work.
today i stumbled upon this bug and reviewed the mdadm changelog, which
fixes this bug. i sucessfully grew the array using the version from
nightly install CD.
please backport from testing to stable.
