Apparently my whole description of when I thought this crash happened is wrong, because I confused two different core files and hence two different crashes.
The Totem crash reproducible happening at the same point on that particular disc is not caused by libdvdread4. So I have no idea when this libdvdread4 crash exactly happened, so I do not know how to reproduce it.
