Package: fontconfig-config
Version: 2.8.0-3
Severity: normal

Hi,

I've several installations where the package fontconfig is not installed.
The postinst script of fontconfig-config created the symlink
/etc/fonts/conf.d/30-defoma.conf that points to a non‐existing file.
Because fontconfig contains the symlink /etc/fonts/conf.d/30-defoma.conf
itself, fontconfig-config should not create it. Then the dangling symlink
could not happen.

% grep -n -B3 -A1 30-def $I/fontconfig-config.postinst
11-CONFDIR=/etc/fonts/conf.d
12-
13-# Add the defoma configuration
14:defoma_link="30-defoma.conf"
15-ln -sf /var/lib/defoma/fontconfig.d/fonts.conf $CONFDIR/$defoma_link

% dpkg -L fontconfig G etc
/etc
/etc/fonts
/etc/fonts/conf.d
/etc/fonts/conf.d/30-defoma.conf

Bye, Jörg.
