"sysvinit" should probably keep quiet when selinux is not supported by the kernel or when the mount point does not exist. However, you can get around the error message by passing "SELINUX_INIT=NO" as a booting parameter to the kernel. It will be passed on as an environment variable to the "init" and quell this error message.
