dh_girepository guess the minimal required version of gir packages from the version specified in the build-dependencies. Since the policy now requires that the -dev packages depend against the gir packages, lot of packages have removed explicit gir package build-dependencies. This lead to binary packages depending on gir packages without minimal version. I guess that another way to get the minimal version of gir packages must be implemented.
