Hi Adrien, thanks for the patch. However, it's not as simple as that. The issue has been discussed in depth on the pgsql-hackers list, see for example this thread from May: http://archives.postgresql.org/pgsql-hackers/2011-05/msg00216.php People do want to do something about this, but they don't want to give up on data safety. Maybe this could be made a configuration option, but in any case, please try to discuss this on the hackers list, I don't think we would throw in such patches just for Debian.
