Subject: perl: pod2man generates files with latin1 characters Package: perl Version: 5.8.7-4 Severity: normal
When manifying man pages (i.e. when building a Perl module), pod2man creates files that contain latin1 (or other not-strictly-ASCII characters). This causes man not to print those characters, and causes lintian to complain manpage-has-errors-from-man (specifically, warning: can't find numbered character ###, where ### is the character number).
