Package: gnumeric
Version: 1.10.17-1
Severity: normal

Thank you for maintaining gnumeric.

It seems to me to be an excellent piece of code.

I happened to notice a problem.

When I tried to have a pie chart's values
indirectly use an array, it failed.

Here's how I elicited the bug:

1.) Run gnumeric

2.) Enter 1, 2 and 3 in cells A1:C1

3.) Enter A1:C1 in cell A2

4.) Enter =sum(indirect(A2)) in cell A3

This should indirectly report a sum of 6,
    which is OK.

However, it seems to me that a similar
technique fails with a pie chart.

5.) Click on its icon to "Insert a Chart", and
    then follow these menu options...

        ->Pie->Forward->Series1->Values

6.) This should show you a window where you can
tell gnumeric which values to chart

7.) At least for me, specifying the chart's value
range as either A2 or indirect(A2) renders a
blank pie chart, and =A2 and =indirect(A2)
    report "invalid expression".

It seems to me that being able to chart values
indirectly would ultimately allow charts to be
automatically updated when new rows or columns of
values are added to spread sheets.

Thanks,
Kingsley
