I have two package lists with conflicting packages. In
package_config/EMACS I have:
PACKAGES install
emacs
and in package_config/EMACS-NOX I have:
PACKAGES install
emacs-nox
Now if I type
fai-mirror -v -cEMACS,EMACS-NOX /tmp/mirror
the script fails when calculating the dependencies:

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

emacs21: Conflicts: emacs21-nox but 21.4a-1 is to be installed

Thomas says that one solution might be to calculate/download each
class's packages independently. I wonder whether this will not be too
slow/repetitive?
