Hello,
I am using version 5.100.82.38 of the Broadcom STA driver for Linux, to use
the broadcom wireless chipset built into my laptop. However, using that driver
I am unable to connect to wireless networks that use channels 12 or 13. This
is confirmed by "sudo iwlist eth1 f":
eth1 11 channels in total; available frequencies :
Channel 01 : 2.412 GHz
Channel 02 : 2.417 GHz
Channel 03 : 2.422 GHz
Channel 04 : 2.427 GHz
Channel 05 : 2.432 GHz
Channel 06 : 2.437 GHz
Channel 07 : 2.442 GHz
Channel 08 : 2.447 GHz
Channel 09 : 2.452 GHz
Channel 10 : 2.457 GHz
Channel 11 : 2.462 GHz
According to the documentation, support for "Additional channels in both 2.4
and 5 Ghz bands" has been added with version 5.60.48.36. However, that either
does not work properly on my laptop, or support has been removed again in a
later version.
Is there anything I need to do to enable these additional channels?
relevant lspci -nn output:
06:00.0 Network controller [0280]: Broadcom Corporation BCM4312 802.11b/g LP-
PHY [14e4:4315] (rev 01)
Any help would be appreciated,
Ralf Jung
