Im not sure if its related, but I just tried making the scrollable window a few pixels larger than the window, and I noticed when I scrolled to the right, the pieces bar stays intact, but the percentage bar at the top of the pieces bar (the solid line that grows from the left) disappears. So the pieces and percentage bar just above it, are both affected by this bug, but in slightly different ways.
Hopefully this little tidbit might help someone looking into the problem. Unfortunately I know little about java programming, so Im out-of-my-depth trying to figure it out myself.
