indeed, having fresh octave would be great
I just ran into an ugly bug with 3.2.4: just call
regexp('0', '0*')
to get stuck. but not sure if it is worth yet another bug report.
Current tip (reports as 3.5.0+, changeset: 12918:e7cc2d4a6db3) works
fine.
