Hello Philipp,

it seems you are one of the first users of ir-keytable on Debian. I was
not able to test its functionality because my three DVB-T sticks do not
provide an IR interface.

One genral question: I'm under the impression that ir-keytable is only
needed to tweak the mapping table because it defaults to the built in
kernel driver table. Is this correct?

One thing that bothers me: How can udev run the ir-keytable binary? Is
it added to the initramfs by some magic script?

Could you please try to change your config from
*       rc-tt-1500               tt_1500
into
*       rc-tt-1500               /lib/udev/rc_keymaps/tt_1500

because /lib/udev/rc_keymaps is not in it-keytables search path (only
/etc/rc_keymaps) is.

Could you afterward synthesize the udev event by following the steps
described here:
http://doc.opensuse.org/products/draft/SLES/SLES-admin_draft/cha.udev.html#sec.udev.boot

I will try to reproduce the issue here.

Thanks,
Gregor
