Hi Dag, I have a number of thoughts on how you could tackle this, and would be happy to provide a patch.
1) Just try looking for squiclient in /usr/bin and /usr/sbin 2) Use platform.dist() (or platform.linux_distribution()) to choose the appropriate location of squidclient.
