Package: synaptic Version: 0.70~pre1 The Synaptic .desktop entry needs to be fixed under gnome, because the missing su-to-root command.
su-to-root -c -X /usr/sbin/synaptic
I suggest to replace the startup command with:
gksu /usr/bin/synaptic
instead.
