Yes it still occurs if I follow the original steps to reproduce it given
by Alexander Galanin. If I do

$ dpkg-query -W mailutils
mailutils       1:2.1+dfsg1-7
$ printf "test1\ntest2" | mail lindi

I get a mail where the last line is missing:
