Package: tex-gyre Version: 2.004.1-2 Severity: important or using tgschola or... it seems that in any case, when i try to use the tex gyre fonts, pdf(la)tex tries to generate bitmap fonts while tex gyre should distribute OTF and Type 1 fonts
i don't want to mention that i have no problem with tex-gyre on my notebook, where i use a non-debian-packaged texlive distribution this is what happens on my system i have this file (file.tex) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ \documentclass{article} \usepackage[T1]{fontenc} % as exemplified on % http://www.tug.dk/FontCatalogue/tgbonum/ \usepackage{tgbonum} \begin{document} pippo \end{document} ------------------------------------------------------------------------ when i process it through pdflatex i obtain ------------------------------------------------------------------------ $ pdflatex file.tex This is pdfTeX, Version 3.1415926-1.40.10 (TeX Live 2009/Debian) entering extended mode (./file.tex LaTeX2e <2009/09/24> Babel <v3.8l> and hyphenation patterns for english, usenglishmax, dumylang, noh yphenation, farsi, arabic, croatian, bulgarian, ukrainian, russian, czech, slov ak, danish, dutch, finnish, french, basque, ngerman, german, german-x-2009-06-1 9, ngerman-x-2009-06-19, ibycus, monogreek, greek, ancientgreek, hungarian, san skrit, italian, latin, latvian, lithuanian, mongolian2a, mongolian, bokmal, nyn orsk, romanian, irish, coptic, serbian, turkish, welsh, esperanto, uppersorbian , estonian, indonesian, interlingua, icelandic, kurmanji, slovenian, polish, po rtuguese, spanish, galician, catalan, swedish, ukenglish, pinyin, loaded.
