A recent problem between postfix and glibc packages causes sendmail to
fail to send email, signalling an error instead. The problem here,
is that when I tried to report it with reportbug, reportbug (with gtk2 ui)
just exited silently without telling me about the failure to send the
message. Luckily, I started reportbug from the command line rather than
from the menu, so I did get to see the:
postdrop: fatal: getrlimit: Operation not permitted
sendmail: warning: command "/usr/sbin/postdrop -r" exited with status 1
sendmail: fatal: f...@bar.ca(2376): unable to execute /usr/sbin/postdrop -r:
Success
message. But this message should have been shown more prominently to the
user (and maybe an option should be offered to use another path the send
the bugreport in this case).
