I second that. For me, the following configure options work: --with-c-include-dirs=/usr/include/$(DEB_BUILD_GNU_TYPE):/usr/include --with-cxx-include-root=/usr/include/c++/4.5 --with-cxx-include-arch=$(DEB_BUILD_GNU_TYPE) --with-cxx-include-32bit-dir=32 --with-cxx-include-64bit-dir=64
