It's a different test failing with a timeout in each case, and different
between the archs. So I suspect it's either a bug in the timeout handling
in xapian-core's remote backend, a bug in libc, or a bug in the network
setup.

Rebuilding on asdfasdf a few weeks ago worked OK.

Currently building on io is failing with a lot of SEGVs in the testsuite.
I notice GCC has been upgraded to 4.6 since this report, and on #debian=kbsd,
bremner said there was a recent libc update, so I wonder if there are currently
toolchain issues. And XTaran reports worse breakage than I'm seeing. So I'm
giving up on investigating this right now.

Cheers,
    Olly
