Thanks, I was already looking at the ubuntu patch, I have applied it but I have several questions... You run "mkdir -p /var/run/network" I suppose this is because the script may be run when that dir hasn't been yet created by other scripts run by upstart, is that right? I have been trying it and it doesn't work, it seems we don't have ifquery on Debian (whatever that is) or at least I haven't been able to find it, is it also upstart related? or some other Ubuntu difference? comments? ideas?
