Besides, you can retrieve the termcap information from current terminal with infocmp(1), so the termcap data is just a (run-program "infocmp" (list (getenv "TERM")) :input nil ...) away (instead of (open "/etc/termcap"). I don't use hemlock, but I'd hate to see it disappear for a wrong reason.
