Installed from experimental (*). Now I am trying to configure the phone using wizard. It always fails. dmesg reveals: [814437.206752] usb 2-1.1: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 26 [814437.300360] usb 2-1.1: New USB device found, idVendor=0421, idProduct=0223 [814437.300367] usb 2-1.1: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=3 [814437.300373] usb 2-1.1: Product: E72-1 [814437.300377] usb 2-1.1: Manufacturer: Nokia [814437.300381] usb 2-1.1: SerialNumber: 352724040687641 [814437.302199] cdc_acm 2-1.1:1.1: ttyACM0: USB ACM device [814437.303860] cdc_acm 2-1.1:1.3: ttyACM1: USB ACM device Using Wizard I tried: Next / Guided Configuration / USB Cable / Symbian Based Phone / OBEX and IrMC protocols / Generic OBEX Neither ttyACM0 nor ttyACM1 works. They fail with: ... Failed to connect to phone Description: Unknown connection type string. Check config file function: Init Error Code: 18 ... I did try to follow instructions from: http://wammu.eu/docs/manual/protocol/s60.html#connecting-s60 But it looks like I need to have bluetooth on my laptop (which I dont). Can I use USB + OBEX to upload gnapplet.sis (which has been removed from gammu experimental package) ?
