Package: insserv
Version: 1.14.0-2
Severity: wishlist

Hello,

I have a requirement to have insserv ignore files created by a local
configuration management tool (backups it creates). Currently the list
of files to ignore is hard-coded into insserv.c. This request is to
make this configurable at run-time instead, to make this sort of usage
easier.

An example of this being done in another package is logrotate, which
has the tabooext list.

Thanks,
Dominic.
