Package: javahelper Version: 0.32 Severity: normal Hello,
I've just been hit by a problem with respect to the sequencing in dh: insert_after("jh_installlibs", "jh_classpath"); insert_after("jh_classpath", "jh_manifest"); This means that all manifest-related actions will be taken *AFTER* the installation of the jars, which is bad since that means that in the debian/package.classpath file for instance, one must specify the target rather than the source. While one would normally write stuff.jar first-dep.jar second.jar one has to write debian/stuff/usr/share/java/stuff-version.jar ... This is pretty painful at best ;-)... BTW, I'm grateful for javahelper ! I think that eventually all java libs should be transitioned to use it (well, at least those in control of the java team), that would make java packaging a great deal easier.
