Hi! Don't only think about common Unixish semantics! In this example, the shown users originate off a Windows box who used the Linux machine as a Samba PDC. Thus, the Windows users are also created on the Linux box, containing Microsofts localized common names.
Filenames are a more common example on a generic Linux box, though.
