I think ideally, the lenny -> squeeze sks upgrade should be automated, rather than relying on the admin to take the series of manual steps outlined in /usr/share/doc/sks/README.Debian.gz (fwiw, i didn't get the alert during the upgrade either, because the machine running sks does not have apt-listchanges installed).
Couldn't a postinst script do the right thing automagically (testing to
make sure the db isn't already upgraded first, of course)?
Also, i think the recommendations in README.Debian.gz should suggest to
do all the db4.6 -> db4.7 transition steps *as* the debian-sks user,
instead of doing the upgrade as root with a chown afterward; the less
code running as the superuser, the better.
Thanks for maintaining sks in debian. It's great to have an
easy-to-maintain package to keep an OpenPGP keyserver running.
